Equipment maintenance and repair
Our technical support team carefully looks at broken laboratory equipment and quickly fixes minor technical problems. External companies are contacted in case of major technical problems.
If you are facing problems with LSF owned equipment, please contact LSF: lsf@ist.ac.at indicating the type of equipment, room number, serial number

Technical gases
Standard Technical gases will be provided on request via the tracker: lsf@ist.ac.at
Unusual or seldomly used gases will need to be requested a minimum of 8 weeks before their planned usage, also via the tracker and EHS should be informed also at this time.
Dry ice and Liquid Nitrogen withdrawal
Dry ice as well as Liquid Nitrogen can be obtained in the following locations:

The handling of Liquid Nitrogen requires a training – see below!
Fresh dry ice delivery takes place on every Tuesday (250 kg), please call us at least 4 working days before to be informed of availability if you need larger amounts for shipping.
If a refill of group internal tank is necessary, please write a ticket latest by Thursday 12pm to be assured of a refill before the weekend!!
Liquid Nitrogen Handling
The use of Liquid Nitrogen requires safety precautions. Therefore, a training is necessary!
Liquid Nitrogen Handling trainings are offered on a regular basis. Emails with training dates (2x per month) are sent out to the Building Mailing lists (I04, I06, I21, I23,I24). You can find the registration link for the training on our Trainings page!

Water purification systems
Water purification systems that generate ultrapure water can be found in different locations in Bertalanffy Foundation Building, Lab Building East, Lab Building West and Lab 5.
