Protein purification is offered as full service in small- or large scale. We utilize a wide range of chromatographic techniques and purification strategies to support purification of customer proteins.

The Protein Service routinely uses (among others) the following chromatographic techniques:
- Affinity Chromatography (AC)
- Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC)
- Ion Exchange Chromatography (IEX)
- Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC)
For every individual protein the purification protocol has to be optimized.
We will help you to design a purification strategy to obtain highly pure, well behaved, monodisperse and active protein.
Customers can purify autonomously their protein of choice after completing the training on one of our chromatographic systems.
14 AEKTA PURE (Cytiva) systems are available on campus for preparative protein purification.
2 AEKTA PURE MICRO (Cytiva) systems are available for analytical purification experiments.
Most of our AEKTA Pure systems are placed in cooling cabinets that allow purification at 4°C.
